2001-08-24 - 1:51 p.m. - Mailing list woes I sadly and stupidly belong to this Keanu Reeves mailing list. What can I say, you should know by now that I have the big ups for him..but that is not the point. For the past couple of days they've been making a list of movies in which he's been in and played as a father and husband. Each time, they make a final list someone remembers one more and then they argue about it, and toss and turn about it, then they finally somewhere in between several hundred emails agree that yes, she/he is right so they add that movie to the list. This has been going on for the past week or so...I am afraid to give them the link to my Shelia and Keanu chronicles because I know no one has the time right now to read good fiction when, you know they'd rather argue about his marital status in prior movies that I am sure he can't even remember. How can people live like this? This is a lot better than my list I should say which I am so, so happy I shut down. You cannot imagine how much peace of mind I DO have now that I have done away with that list...friends became enemies, the silent ones became scorpions, foes became antagonists, I became the subject line for people's pity fest journals...and I didn't even know it. I don't even know these people, how dare they hate me without knowing me? Take it from me...people on mailing lists, they probably just pretending they like you, go hunting for their journals, you know those ones they write under assumed names like "jenniesoftlady" or "sarahgoddess" and you would know how they REALLY fell about you.
